Hannah Moon (she/her/hers) is a graduate with highest honors of Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. She studied Literature, Media, and Communications, with concentrations in media and interaction design and a key focus on film studies. Based in Atlanta, Moon has a long-time passion for visual storytelling in film, art, photography, and design. In conjunction with her studies, Moon also built experience as a film programming intern for Mailchimp Studios (Intuit Mailchimp) for a year and a half, researching, licensing, and programming various short films, features, and podcasts for their uniquely curated streaming platform, Mailchimp Presents.

Pursuing a career in the film and media industry, Moon conducts freelance work for an independent film producer as a Film Research Associate, as well as for other professionals and industry creatives. As a Film Research Associate, she assists in work for production partnerships, branding materials, marketing for films and distribution of projects. Moon has also built and currently manages companies' and a non-profit organizations' websites, in addition to crafting custom designs for various social initiatives, communications, and outreach. Other endeavors include assisting with communications and other projects as they develop. 

 

Through her experience in film programming and production, Moon has provided critical notes and feedback on original content throughout the production process in addition to synthesizing initiatives discussed during brainstorming meetings with internal teams and external partners. She has worked to ensure the media division run as efficiently as possible and has equipped the team with the insights needed to make best-in-class content.

Moon has continually managed spreadsheets and workflow to ensure successful project management on various initiatives, including tracking current and prospective film licenses, film festival programs, and notable talents. Additionally, she has found and help acquire several short films for the platform, participating in negotiations with the filmmakers on licensing and acquisition. Among film production, she also has experience researching producers and conducting script coverage.

In addition to her film and media experience, Moon has developed various creative portfolios and projects that explore creative, political, and mental health subjects, hoping to create connections for a moving and often deeply personal relationship between the subject matter and the audience.
